WINS was founded in 1991 by Albert Wong, a Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional. Albert’s expertise in the insurance field was developed dating back to the late 1960’s with American International Group. Albert later worked for Halifax Insurance (now ING Insurance), General Accident (now Aviva), CIGNA covering all aspects of the industry on a global basis.
WINS has enjoyed excellent growth over the years and is recognized as one of the leading brokerages in the GTA. We have earned a reputation for professionalism due in large part to the special attention we give to the needs of our diverse client base.
WINS is a licensed insurance brokerage with the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO), which regulates the licensing, professional competence, ethical conduct, and insurance related financial obligations of all independent general insurance brokers in the Province of Ontario.
Back in February 19, 2004, one of our commercial properties was damaged by a large fire, which resulted in a very large claim, ultimately requiring the total replacement of the building. Wong Associates was fully engaged throughout the claim process working with adjusters, contractors and with our tenants. Their commitment was unparalleled, at a time of great stress. There is no doubt in our mind that Wong Associates' relationship with the insurance company was instrumental to having the claim settled smoothly and efficiently.
